So Behind

I've been pretty lazy recently in posting new content, mainly because I don't really have anything new to say. So here's a short recap of what I've been doing these past few weeks.

Starting off from where I left off on my last post, the Rich Dad 3-Day workshop was a pretty big tease, but still worth every penny in my opinion. It was quite obvious since the beginning they were gonna try to sell you more stuff. Also, three days to teach you everything about real estate is a bit unrealistic. But nonetheless, the workshop was very informative about real estate investing and opened my eyes to situations I never knew were possible. When you hear the words 'real estate,' most people think about buying a house, living in it, wait for it to appreciate, and then sell after many years later, or just plain buying and renting. But in order for them to do that, it will all depend on how much cash they have on hand for the down payment, their credit for a mortgage loan, or if they even have a job to pay the monthly payments. This is what most people know because it is what they have experienced and seen. The class, on the other hand, tells you about other ways of investing in real estate and financing techniques we normally don't think about. I'm not going to go into details because I don't know the details myself, but let's just say they can show you how to invest in real estate without any money and bad credit.

Enough about Rich Dad.

I've been pretty swamped recently with my commercial property as we get closer to the closing date for our store purchase, November 15. Luckily we have a tenant interested in renting our property before our closing date so we're not going to lose out on paying mortgage on an empty store. The contract has been signed already and the business that will be taking place is a Chinese BBQ restaurant. The rent will basically cover the mortgage and all the expenses we have incurred will basically offset any profit we will be making during the first year. We're also in the process of completing our loan. It's been pretty hectic but a very good learning experience for me. Hopefully all goes well.
